Personal Profile:
As a seasoned entrepreneur, and recipient of the Business In Vancouver “40 Under 40” award, Alex owns and invests in several successful businesses across North America. These include a number of hyper-growth franchises with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in the New Jersey area; Modern PURAIR in Vancouver/Richmond, and the boutique entrepreneurial consulting company “Make Anything Work”. A previous focus was also on making a difference within the Canadian Primary Healthcare industry as part of WELL Health Technologies Corp (TSX: WELL).
Alex brings to everything a wealth of international business and leadership experience having worked in several countries around the world. These include such places as the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Bahrain and Canada. Previously in his career he has worked in a variety of senior leadership roles for companies such as American Express and 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. With an in-depth understanding of entrepreneurial hyper-growth enterprise, Alex is able to lead organizations to new plateaus of success through a process of "Strategy, Tactics, Implementation, and Habit".
Alex holds an honors degree in Marketing and is active within the local community. He is the current President for First Aid Ski Patrol (FASP) and a Board Member for the South Vancouver Community Policing Centre. He is also past Global Chair for the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) "Global Student Entrepreneurs Award" (GSEA), and past Regional Director for the Canadian region of EO.
