About
I’m a technical founder building at the intersection of gaming, social, and AI currently working on a product that will help anyone tell their own stories with games. While working with thousands of creators and players who love Dungeons & Dragons, I witnessed the power of lowering barriers to creation, lowering barriers to play, and building communities around a game. The desire to give millions more people that co-creative power is what drives me today. Games are the future of storytelling and everything I build will contribute to the evolution of interactive stories.
AI is one of my magic ingredients. And it is definitely MAGIC. I’ve deployed all sorts of tech at scale and published 200k+ words on mythology so I know real magic when I see it. The recent developments in AI are one of those rare “stop whatever you are doing and start exploring this” moments. AI shouldn’t even be a category. It will sit alongside HTTP, mobile phones, and cloud services as a core primitive for new tech products.
As an experienced leader, I’m opinionated, comfortable with ambiguity, curious about multiple disciplines, and creative. That mix is what helped me understand that I should be a founder. These qualities have helped others feel inspired to follow me on hard projects. But what keeps people around me for the long term is empathy. You need empathy. Empathy to help your team be their best. Empathy to talk to customers. Empathy to hear what the world needs you to do.
