    Childrens Hospital Vancouver, BC

    Children

    I volunteered at Childrens Hospital once or twice a week, for 6 months, by holding sick infants, playing with sick 1-4 year old children in the playroom and assisting the sick children (in grade 1 and 2) with the teacher in the schoolroom occasionally. I had the opportunity to volunteer with the children in the oncology ward and this experience forever changed my life. I saw firsthand how incredibly sick children could laugh, play and tumble on their equipment with no thought of complaining…
