The Energy Transition and Climate Resilience Advisory Committee is made up of 15 Edmontonians who help advise on and implement Edmonton's Energy Transition and Climate Resilience plans. Served as Londonderry District B representative for six years and president for two years of the EFCL, a federation of 158 community leagues in Edmonton, Alberta. The leagues run sports, culture and social programs and engage in civic issues of interest at the neighbourhood level. The federation is involved in civic engagement, supporting community leagues running programs and in the development of community volunteers in Edmonton.

The WinterCity Strategy is bold and visionary. It’s about taking advantage of our northerness; transforming Edmonton into a more inviting, vibrant and prosperous place for residents, business, industry and tourists throughout the winter months. This requires a cultural shift; changing how we think and talk about, and deal with winter. Winter is an asset offering great social and economic value to our city, streets and public gathering places.

The task force was charged with outlining opportunities and barriers for the City of Edmonton and recommending actions to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy. Previously served as past president (2 years), President (6 years), VP (2 years) and a soccer coach (10 years). Evansdale runs sports and social programs at the neighbourhood level and has participated in a number of civic issues of interest to our area. Helped create the annual Community Soccer Party and helped secure funding for playgrounds and recreation and sports facility enhancements. Recently helped Evansdale become the first solar-powered, net-zero (electricity) community league.

Coached boys basketball for 10 years starting with young minis and on up to juvenille boys. A core group stuck with the team for many years and they won the provincials in 2006 after an undefeated regular season. Was named coach of the year twice and our team was named team of the year twice.

Coached community soccer for 10 years. Coached from U6 to U12 level, both boys and girls.

Served as the volunteer president of this community organization that runs sports, social and children's programs. Was active in engaging community in planning issues and park development. Served as the VP prior to this as well.
