About

At Tennis Canada, leading a dedicated team of 28, my role as SVP Tennis Development and Partnerships emphasizes the advancement of women and girls in the sport, tennis infrastructure enhancement and growth, and strategic partnership marketing. These responsibilities align with my proficiency in organizational leadership, reflected in managing an $8M operational budget and cultivating relationships with tennis leaders across Canada, and government and municipal partners for sport development and integrity.

My tenure broadens from operational leadership to representing our organization within the Canadian Olympic Committee and Sport Canada, advocating for tennis community interests. The skillsets honed over the recent years, including manufacturing process improvement and mentoring, supports our mission to foster inclusive, safe, accessible, and welcoming tennis experiences nationally. Our team's commitment to this vision is evident in our collaborative efforts to amplify the reach and impact of tennis across Canada.

By year 2, we strategized ways to expand and grow the league heading into 2020 and beyond, including establishing regional partnerships with Quebec and British Columbia to ensure a clear development pathway into professional soccer in Canada for men and women. After a year, we expanded the league with 35+ new teams to include reserve leagues for women and men for the 2020 season.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was faced with unprecedented challenges for the sports industry. I worked with key stakeholders to develop and execute a strategic plan for tournaments. I organized the logistics for 8 geographically-dispersed teams and their staff, including 2 charter flights, one East and one West, to comply with government regulations. I defined health, safety, and logistical protocols, monitored compliance by the 300+ participants, and coordinated COVID test administration before and during games. I also established a daily operating plan and a detailed schedule of events, including roles and responsibilities for all league and club personnel. Partnering with senior executives at the Club level, I executed partnership and sponsorship deliverables in the virtual stadium, producing 90% of sponsorship revenue payments post-tournament with zero make goods.
