About
I currently lead Teal.dev, an embedded small business accounting platform that enables neobanks and vertical saas companies to solve accounting for their customers.
Previously I led Financial Services for Shopify. This included the Banking, Lending, and Accounting groups, as well as the money infrastructure teams that power the flow of funds across the Shopify ecosystem.
Before that at Shopify I led Shopify Balance, Shopify's money management solution for merchants that replaces their bank and elevates their financial experience.
Prior to Shopify I co-founded and led Bench Accounting for 11 years, growing it into the world's largest bookkeeping service for SMBs. Originally launching out of Techstars NYC in 2012, at Bench we raised over $100 million and were ranked the fastest growing company in BC, according to the Deloitte Fast 50 list in multiple years. For this work I appeared on multiple lists, including Forbes 30 under 30 and Canada's 40 under 40.
More than anything else, I love to build great businesses.
