About
I am happy to be able to help graduate students achieve their academic, professional, and personal development goals through the programs I coordinate and oversee at Concordia University. Having experienced firsthand the importance of developing skills beyond academics during graduate school, I have a good perspective of what graduate students may look for to complement their formation.
I am also an ecologist with PhD in Biology from Concordia University. Throughout my career, I've developed myself as a field ecologist with strong experience in teaching and team leadership. As a researcher, I’ve successfully designed and conducted experiments and analyses summarized in scientific publications. In my role as a University teacher and instructor, I’ve mastered a complementary set of skills that include course content development, time management, and public speaking. And as a team leader, I use a proactive, coaching approach to effectively manage my team. Using this approach, I successfully and efficiently coordinated a group of up to 80 invigilators and I currently supervise a team of 14 students from diverse disciplines to run a series of professional development programs for graduate students.
I bring forth a positive attitude, willingness, and motivation to learn from and share my skills with my colleagues.
In my spare time I enjoy reading science-fiction (have any books you recommend?) and finding new ways of using ingredients in the kitchen.
