About

An advocate for a sustainable future in Newfoundland and Labrador's offshore and maritime industry, particularly in the essential area of oil and gas, supported by a career that has led to senior management roles within the offshore industry. Currently in a leadership position as Head, School of Maritime Studies at the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Over the past 20 years strong relationships with stakeholders in the industry and government have been developed- demonstrating an understanding and expertise of the profession, the safety culture and of the operational requirements and the restrictions that are prevalent in this jurisdiction. This has led to such grateful industry recognition and support in critical junctions such as the selection to join the Newfoundland and Labrador Oil and Gas Recovery Task Force in 2020.

Proud of my leadership as a vessel Master and OIM with all major aspects of offshore drilling contractor operations, including merged operations integration, newbuild operations and locally with rig intakes into Newfoundland and Labrador - most recently the MODU Transocean Barents where I had been the project lead for Transocean’s regulatory compliance and operations assurance.
