When I think about system optimization, I will have metrics not only in terms of IMTA, RAS, or aquaponics but also in terms of insights on how an aquaculture company or an aquapreneur is using future trends to ride the wave of what's happening in the macro level. For instance, what simple processes are being implemented to incorporate artificial intelligence, are they investigating dematerialized finance in obtaining funding, not to mention the obvious going for regenerative aquaculture practices, and zero waste circular economy, but last but definitely not the least, using strategic synergies to leverage other people's or other enterprises' strengths.

Some ways to get started: 1) A strategic alliance of different stakeholders: producers, suppliers, business owners, investors; 2) Sharing of best practices (quarterly basis if feasible) in a braintrust format so we can share vs compete; 3) Education, education, education

Being able to get to know what is down under is pivotal to our new world as we help not only to save species but to be caretakers of the seas.

Japan's Society 5.0 call this Creator or Imagination society. Society 1.0 is hunter gatherer stage, Society 2.0 is agrarian society, Society 3.0 is industrial revolution, Society 4.0 is information age. Society 5.0 is now upon us where Internet of Things, Big Data, etc. all need to be an integral part of sustainable business 5.0. If this is not being incorporated in daily operations or strategic planning the company will perish. This is not to scare anyone but can you imagine someone riding a horse to go from point A to point B in today's modern society where electric vehicles and driver less cars is the norm? What are the "norms" in your daily activities that should pivot or change? How can you incorporate more imagination or creation?

Social contribution is not a new lingo in business. It's long been a part of a "sustainable" organization. The old adage of "the more you give, the more you receive" is the main focal point if not a logical rationale why enterprises have to include this in their corporate strategy. However, in today's day and age, a lot of "greenwashing" not only in the way we do things but also a lot of current practices include having to pay someone a subscription that can help fight climate change, or reduce carbon footprint. How do we audit if this contribution actually gets into the pocket of who needs it. Leadership. This means doing the right things even when no one is watching.
