    I assisted with the creation and facilitation of the training and development sessions for the committee. From generating exam-like questions, leading discussions and creating a student handbook, I was involved throughout the entire process.

    Wal-Mart hosts a Green Student Challenge which promotes students to generate environmentally friendly (aka "green") initiatives for companies to adopt. The judging was based on originality, ease of implementation, potential business impact/feasability and online buzz. My team and I, as HR students, decided to create HR goals for Wal-Mart that would reflect a green culture. We spoke about recruiting individuals with green education and experience, creating a new performance management cycle…

  • First Place and People's Choice Award Winner at the Great Canadian Human Resources & Business Student Conference and Case Competition 2012

    Earning through Learning

    In March 2012, three classmates and I entered a competition to solve a business case as a team with both strategic business and Human Resources solutions. Good HR people are even better business people! In the end, we won first place and thanks to audience votes, we were the recipients of the People's Choice Award.
