And also allows people to turn to Canadian Human Rights Act to protect themselves against harassment or discrimination when based on one or more grounds of discrimination such as race, age, sexual orientation and disability.
To support CHRC as they continue to monitoring the Government of Canada’s implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, in accordance with article 33.2 of the Convention, the Accessible Canada Act, the Employment Equity Act, and the Pay Equity Act as the CHRC work with federally regulated employers to ensure they are preventing discrimination and promoting inclusion through proactive compliance with these laws. -
