About
I am a lawyer and a senior executive leader in the knowledge and innovation practice. With over 20 years of experience, I lead large teams to implement strategies and action plans to work smarter and more efficiently, while leveraging advanced forms of technology and process improvement to eliminate waste and control legal costs. I provide clients with innovative legal solutions to address specific business risk. By doing so, I became an internationally recognised expert in new ways of working.
Among the 16 awards I’ve received, I am the recipient of the 2024 Top 25 Most Influential Award by Canadian Lawyer in the Business category. I've led a law firm to win the 2024 International Financial Law Review Americas Award for Technology Innovation in the private equity space. I have also led a team to win the 2024 Gold Award and both a 2023 and 2021 Excellence Award at the Canadian Law Awards for the Best Use of Technology in a Law Firm. I’ve also won a Gold Award for the Best Use of Technology in a Law Firm for use of a novel low-code platform to build complex applications for clients at the inaugural 2020 and 2022 Canadian Law Awards.
I am the recipient of the 2019 Lexpert Zenith Award in the category of Change Agents in Law and the winner of the highly coveted 2018 Canadian Lawyer Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada in the Changemaker category for my work in legal technology and innovation. I won a 2019 Fastcase 50 Award honouring the law's smartest, most courageous innovators, visionaries and leaders.
I currently sit on Torys' DEI Committee and am a member of the firm's Asian Professionals ERG. I was chair of an innovation investment committee previously, sat on a race equity council, am a certified mental health first aid officer, and a gold medallist from the University of Ottawa's National Program. I also clerked at the Federal Court of Canada with two honourable justices and hold a yellow belt certification in Legal Lean Sigma and Project Management. I am a member of the Contract Express Document Automation User and Advisory Group and Practical Law Canada's Knowledge Management Advisory Board at Thomson Reuters. I also previously sat on Litera's Global Client Advisory Board and on the ARK National Steering Committee.
