Wil grew up in a retailing environment being part of a family with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Since his early days he was fascinated by the selling process.

As technology evolved he had the chance to discover how innovative technology can be used to interact with customers. He was pioneering first media channels for large mobile network operators like Deutsche Telekom and E-Plus.

During the last 10 years he led significant initiatives for different brands and leading retailers to deploy means of digital communications (e.g. set-up of wireless technologies, social media, etc.).

He was able to acquire and to manage important technology - driven projects for leading entertainment brands like Universal Pictures, Paramount and the Walt Disney Corporations, for leading retailers (e.g. Parfümerie Douglas) and mobile network operators (e.g. Vodafone, E-Plus, Deutsche Telekom). He also has initiated and managed partnerships with leading partners including Google's Startmobile/GoMo initiative.

He has over 10 years experience in the wireless and content space. Previously, he was Managing Director of Sports.com, a pan-European sports portal owned by IMG and Viacom’s CBS Sportsline among others.

Prior to this, Wilhelm acquired one of Germany's leading companies for plant automation with private and governmental funds. He was able to sell and integrate this company to a leading North-American group of companies.

He studied at MIT's Sloan School, UC Berkeley and the University of Lüneburg, where he received his MBA. As an assistant professor at University of Kiel, he was involved in the roll-out of mobile services for Deutsche Telekom.
