Caput Medusae's long-awaited debut album "You Can't Negotiate With Zombies" is a representation of its time, showcasing the experimental dynamics of post-punk and dark wave grounded in more conventional ’00s riffs. It is a collection of post-punk and eerie electro wave with flashes of brilliance. As a newcomer duo from Germany Caput Medusae have yet to fully develop their signature sound. But there are hints here of the creative force they could become. But even for deep-rooted überfans of goth subculture, it's much less a decadence than it is an artful starting point.
