What if humanity had to start over on a new planet? 🌍 The #i2Planet program, a pilot innovation course co-designed by IdeaSquare - the innovation space at CERN and Esade Fusion Point, tackles this question by challenging students to prioritize sustainability and solve real-world problems. Recently, a pilot was launched where 45 students from various disciplines collaborated on missions simulating survival on "Planet Y," addressing issues like resource management and conflict resolution 🤝. The program began at the Fusion Point in Barcelona and continued at CERN’s IdeaSquare in Geneva. The students worked in interdisciplinary teams, guided by faculty "Mission Commanders," to develop solutions that they later applied to Earth-based challenges 💡. “By working in diverse teams, students gain insights into different professional perspectives and learn to value the contributions of different fields. This experience is designed to prepare them for real-world challenges by enhancing their creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative skills”, explained Mireia Sierra Andrés, ATTRACT programs coordinator at Fusion Point. Participants in this program included alumni from the ATTRACT Student Programs (#CBI4AI, CBI-FP and #TeSI) and students from diverse institutions including EINA Centre Universitari de Disseny i Art de Barcelona, Esade Business School, IED Barcelona, IQS Barcelona, Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya. 🤩 Take a look at some of the pictures 📸. ✅ Discover more about the #i2Planet program ➡️ https://lnkd.in/d9ya6d-P #Innovation #Sustainability #ProblemSolving
