🌞 The CESEE region is leading the charge in renewable energy! According to a recent Reuters article, electricity generation from solar farms is growing faster in Central and Eastern Europe than in any other European region. In fact, the growth rates here are outpacing those in wealthier and sunnier parts of the continent. Data from Ember shows that in the first seven months of 2024, utility-run solar output in the five largest solar producers in Central and Eastern Europe—Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, and Poland—jumped by an impressive 55% compared to the same period in 2023.
