On 7 March, we will hold a webinar for representatives of Ukrainian banks together with our partner Wultra on the topic "Strong Customer Authentication in Open Banking", organised by the Ukrainian Interbank Payment Systems Member Association "EMA". The experts from GD Next GmbH will be Olga Levandovska and Valentyn Berezin. They will discuss the SCA landscape across the EU and present Wultra's modern authentication solution, designed with the end user in mind. Wultra experts Petr Dvorak, Zdeněk Černý, Matěj Kubeček and Lenka Yussupova will be on hand to answer any questions about the technology and its implementation. In August 2025, Ukraine will officially introduce Open Banking. This implies that banks are obliged to open their public APIs and allow third-party payment service providers to initiate payments and access the account information of their clients, subject to their consent. The Open Banking framework opens up plenty of opportunities for the Ukrainian financial market: credit and non-credit financial institutions, various payment service providers & agents, e-money institutions. To provide the all members of the financial system with the ability to start early development of Open Banking interfaces the GD Next GmbH team in Ukraine created open source project “Open Banking Ukraine”, which is based on the European PSD2 standard and Open Banking specifications adopted by the Ukrainian Open API Group https://lnkd.in/e9HYDSPj. The Open Banking Ukraine project has been already published to GitHub https://lnkd.in/e_SyPcQx. It defines the data models for the main payment services in Ukraine: single payments, account information consents and account information services, such as account balances, and transaction history.
