While creating the website for Le Sirenuse - a long-standing partner of Positioner - we developed a digital journal for the hotel which explores themes of history, art, culture and food. Having been a success online, we’re delighted to see it become Sirenuse Journal - a printed version that is now distributed throughout the hotel. It features editorial pieces on the Italian lifestyle, guides to the best of the region and Positano, and hotel-favourite recipes that guests can take home. The Sirenuse Journal is a reminder of two things: 1. Walk before you run. Having tested its popularity on the website, Le Sirenuse were confident that the print journal was worth the time and investment. 2. Print isn’t dead. With the world ever-more digital, people like being taken away from screens with high-quality, tangible content. Meet The Manner - a new luxury concept from Standard International, LLC which opens this September in New York. Situated on a tree-lined street in SoHo - and inspired by the feeling of staying at a dear friend’s home - The Manner is a 97-room hotel with a discreet, refined and generous sensibility. Positioner was tasked with translating this ethos and atmosphere into The Manner’s #website. The site is now live and was a privilege to work on. How do you #differentiate a hotel in one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations? That was the challenge when Belvedere Bellagio came to us to refresh their #brandidentity (both visual and verbal). Since opening in 1880, five generations of the Martinelli-Manoni family have cared for the house which overlooks Lake Como. Now in the hands of Giulia Manoni, over the past 12 months we’ve worked together to set the #hotel up for the future and ensure its look, feel, and tone matches Giulia’s vision for the house. Our work has seen us collecting herbs and preparing a herbarium, all to ensure that the new #branddesign feels both natural and authentic. What do Laurence Olivier, King Hussein of Jordan, and Jamiroquai have in common? For one thing, they’ve all stayed at Grand Hotel Miramare – a 5* hotel established on the #Italian #Riviera in 1903. The Fustinoni family have been guardians of the #Miramare since 1945 and, in a bid to redefine #luxury #hospitality on the Italian Riviera, Andrea and Fabio Fustinoni came to Positioner 18 months ago to create a new #visual and #verbal identity. Despite its storied history and grand hotel status, Andrea and Fabio wanted a #brand that better reflected the #hotel’s authentic Italian experience and contemporary approach to life. After conversations, workshops, research and insights, we created the hotel’s new theme – Estate Italiana with a twist - and have brought it to life through a modernised #picture language, refreshed branding materials, and new #website. La Fantaisie is one of Paris’ hottest new #hotels. Offering a peaceful enclave within the city’s buzzing streets, we were tasked with creating a #website that highlighted the hotel’s dualities. Contemporary but luxurious. Quiet but abundant. Hidden yet distinctly present. The end result, which is now live, is a #digital manifestation of La Fantaisie’s promise to its guests: to be a blooming alcove of peaceful joy. This is our #journey in bringing the website to life… 

Despite Italy’s growing tourism industry, there’s an audience not being fully catered to… This is what we found when Lindbergh Hotels & Resorts tasked us with crafting a strong and culturally relevant brand for their newly formed Urban Collection of Italian hotels. Through a detailed analysis of the market, we identified a lack of metropolitan business hotels meeting the needs of younger professionals. Hotels that fostered a sense of community, boasted innovative design, and provided a unique experience that transcended traditional hospitality. This is what led us to create Charlie Urban Hotels – an independent and vibrant brand inspired by Lindbergh’s origins.

What is a good example of the positioning work we do with hotels and destinations around the world? This isn’t what drove us to create The FLOW Zermatt with our partners at #SchlossHotel, but The FLOW #Zermatt is certainly the answer. The FLOW Zermatt is a wknd of insight, inspiration and (a bit of) perspiration. From 30th November to 3rd December, guests can jump between movement and #breathwork classes, #biohacking #workshops, and nature sessions. All with the goal of getting in the FLOW and stretching mind and body. This feel-good wknd is a celebration of life and how to get the most from it.
