RECONOMY and Green Council had the opportunity to host about 50 companies and individuals, and more via the zoom application at the Europe House in Sarajevo at the promotional hybrid event of the Green Building Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina. #RECONOMY is a regional inclusive and green economic development program of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (#Sida), implemented by #HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in partnership with #CeProSARD and others in the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkan regions.

Facilitated by #RECONOMY, the establishment and revitalization of Green Building Councils (GBCs) in the #WesternBalkans has officially begun. These independent bodies aim to steer the #construction industry towards #sustainability, aligning with the Western Balkan countries’ goal to become low-carbon economies. In some Western Balkan countries, GBCs are already in place, although most need support enhancing their impact, but in other Western Balkan countries the establishment of these councils constitutes a first step towards greening the construction sector. 🏗 🌱 For more, read the blog article! ⬇ https://lnkd.in/dK8Ywu8N Helvetas Eastern & Southeastern Europe Sida CeProSARD

Today RECONOMY is announcing a new strategic partnership project with the Volvo Group. It has been a long road to get to this day but the hard work still lies ahead. Volvo, Sida and Helvetas will be supporting the skilling of young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Serbia to access the labour market in better conditions and pursue fulfilling careers. 👩🔧 Nytt projekt skapar jobbmöjligheter på Västra Balkan 🚛 I länderna på Västra Balkan är ungdomsarbetslösheten hög, samtidigt som det råder stor brist på mekaniker och lastbilschaufförer. För att bidra till en lösning ska Sverige genom Sida, tillsammans med Helvetas och Volvo Group, nu samarbeta kring yrkesutbildning baserad på fordonsindustrins behov. To address the shortage of mechanics and electronics specialists in the Western Balkans, we are collaborating with Sida and Helvetas through the RECONOMY program. This initiative will provide vocational training focused on sustainable, environmentally friendly solutions and promote gender equality by integrating youth and women into the labor market.   Through this project, young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Serbia will gain essential skills to work with modern, green technologies in the heavy-duty and transport industries. By empowering the youth with high-quality training, we aim to foster economic development and drive the green transition in the region.

To address the significant shortage of mechanics and electronics specialists 🚛👩🔧 in the #WesternBalkans, Sida, together with Helvetas and Volvo Group 🤝, will collaborate in the frame of #RECONOMY to promote youth employment through heavy-duty industrial equipment and commercial vehicles.
 Great emphasis will be placed on integrating youth and women into the labor market and breaking the traditional male dominance in the sector.

🆕 Within the framework of the "Digitizing Sectors for Competitiveness" (RECONOMY) project, the delegation of the "Strategic Development Agency" NGO, led by project manager Mher Sahakyan visited to Moldova on June 18-24. On June 24, the delegation had a meeting with the partner of the project, “Moldova Organic Value Chain Alliance” executive director Vadim Curmei and the project manager Natalya Papuc. A wide range of issues related to the services provided within the project were discussed during the meeting, and contracts were signed with a number of local experts. 🤝 “Digitizing sectors for competitiveness” project is implemented by the Strategic Development Agency NGO under the support of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation — the cooperating partner to Sweden’s government agency for development cooperation (SIDA).
