VIP on board: Don Montague joined us on a test day! Kitesurfing pioneer, inventor and visionary, he’s done so much in the sailing world that it’s hard to single one thing out... ➡️ Don was the first to design kite-powered boats to demonstrate their huge potential. He used kites ranging from 16m2 to 110m2 on his kiteboats: can you guess who was a huge source of inspiration for us when we designed our boat? Thanks to him, we knew that taking-off giant kites would be possible! We can’t express enough how privileged we felt to have him by our side. 🎬 As we’re waiting for the wind, we have compiled for you a few shots of our first outings, taken at the heart of the action. Welcome behind the scenes… ➡️ It was with great motivation that we put our boat back in the water, but we have to admit that the first time was a bit hectic: the team had to get back on track after months without sailing. But in just a few of outings and through sheer perseverance, we managed to (almost) double our top speed! Of course, we’re still far from the world record, but what a great feeling to be back on our learning curve and to know that we’re making so much progress with each new run. Did you know? We never leave the boat in the water and have to get her in and out every time we sail! Every windy morning, we run through the last checklists on the boat and then we take her out.
