Tenthpin is proud to announce its collaboration with the Indian Wheelchair Tennis Tour (IWTT) - A Division of NGO Astha. As part of this partnership, Tenthpin will support Shilpa Puttaraju in training and competing in eight tournaments over the next 12 months. These events will take place across various locations in Asia and Europe, marking a significant step in her journey toward global recognition in wheelchair tennis.   On this momentous occasion, Tenthpin India Country Head, Raghuram Janapareddy, reflected on the collaboration: “With Indian flag flying high at Paris Paralympics, there is no better occasion to make this announcement by Tenthpin. I met Sunil Jain 13 years ago at a life-changing event. His indomitable spirit of not allowing his disability to stop him from living a complete and contributing life, is contagious. One fine day, he had taken a vow to support individuals with disabilities in achieving their dreams through tennis.” Raghuram also opined that, “Many determined young people fight against all odds to reach their goals, and they need wings to soar. The only place an athlete should struggle – is on the sports arena for victory. Our support for this initiative is just a drop in the ocean. I am confident that many others will join in to support this cause.”   Sunil Jain, the founding chairman of IWTT, added, “There are many individuals with disabilities who seek to express their freedom through sports. While there is much work to be done, I am delighted that Tenthpin has partnered with IWTT, paving the way for more individuals and organizations to support this important cause. This support has the potential to create a strong and vibrant wheelchair tennis ecosystem in India and I am grateful for this partnership”   Shilpa Puttaraju, currently ranked 130 globally by the International Tennis Federation and holding the No. 1 rank in India, quit her call center job in 2017 to focus on her dream of representing India at the highest level in wheelchair tennis. Through participation in these eight international tournaments, she aims to break into the top 100 world rankings in the coming year.
