Exciting news! 🌿 We've reached the $100,000 milestone for our #ReforestingBaran project, thanks to the incredible support of our partners including Simfoni, Dulsco, and Planet Earth Now. The recent funding enables us to embark on Stage 2 of our journey in Baran, where we'll be: 1️⃣ Building 3 additional ponds 2️⃣ Bringing water to more than 1,000 people 3️⃣ Planting 10,000 trees This moves us closer to our 10-year vision, where together with The Flow Partnership, we aim to help more than 100,000 people, plant 350,000 trees, and regenerate over 125 sq km of degraded soil. 🌏 Are you interested in partnering with us? The politics of water... 'To avoid water wars, countries need to use water more efficiently and negotiate more amicably' This starts with communities managing this precious resource. A large part of our #ReforestingBaran project is about education - working with the local communities to ensure they understand how to manage this resource once they have it, enabling sustainable water sources for future generations. Water School India is a shared platform created by The Flow Partnership to hold, exchange and implement a community-led water-retention movement across the planet. The vision of the global Water Schools is for local communities to come and share their water wisdom, learn practical and successful methods of holding water in their landscapes from each other and hold rainwater in ever-increasing quantities to rehydrate the planet at a micro level.
