😍 The VSL teams in the Middle East have partnered with Bridgology SA to offer an innovative, smart post-tensioning inspection approach on the King Fahd Causeway, an iconic bridge linking Khobar, Saudi Arabia to Al Jasra, Bahrain. 🎯 The challenge? Conduct a large-scale inspection of the bridge’s post-tensioning system, in a non-invasive manner with minimal disruption to traffic flow. 🔎 The solution lies in Bridgology's GPR scanning and advanced data processing. This unique technology will allow the processing of 125 kilometers of bridge deck and webs scanning lines to pinpoint areas at higher risk of issues and corrosion in both concrete and post-tensioning. ➡ The solution provides insights into asphalt thickness, concrete cover, rebar density and concrete contamination levels. The results are presented through clear mapping and can seamlessly integrate into the bridge’s 3D model for enhanced visualization. ✅ It will significantly reduce the need for tests and probes and will enable targeted actions in specific locations. 👏 Over the past few years, VSL and Bridgology have forged fruitful partnerships on key inspection projects worldwide. Patna Marine Drive! 💡 JP Ganga Path (Ganga Pathway) or Patna Marine Drive as it is famously known, is a 4 Lane expressway along the Ganga River in Patna, Bihar, India. . It is a 20.5-kilometre-long (12.7 mi) road built between Digha and Deedarganj in Patna. The second phase extends the road by 18 km to Fatuha. The Ganga Path is 6.5 km at-grade level and 14 km elevated. The expressway will ensure a smooth flow of traffic between east to west Patna, and also ease the traffic congestion at Ashok Rajpath ✨ VSL India has recently completed the Erection of all Spans for (Phase 01 122 Nos and Phase 02-21 Nos) of the JP Ganga Path project. The video here shows the LG at the erection of the last span along with the beauty of this bridge. 🏗️ Being chosen as a specialist partner, VSL India is working alongside Navayuga Engineering Company Ltd on this engineering marvel. VSL’s scope included the supply of 15 Nos of segment Casting Molds, Geometry Control software, Supply 1 Nos of Launching Gantry (LG) including the Erection of a Total of 143 (122+21) Nos of 50m simple supported Spans, for the 7.15Km long segmental Viaduct, Internal and External Post-tensioning of 3750 MT (PT) & 48 MT of Permanent PT bars. 💡 The specially designed 115m long LG by VLS is handling the 21m wide segment, having a constant depth of 3.15m with segment weight up to 105 tons and a span weight of 1460 tons. #vsl #infrastructureprojects #bridgeengineering #india
