While staying informed on the newest trends, knowledge and technological advancements is crutial in the decision making process one shall not forget the importance of the source of the information. While having access to the the right source of information can accelerate the decision making process and allow to take the right decision, having access to the wrong information can lead to wrong decision.

Diverse opinions, perspectives and solutions should be considered by a leader prior taking a decision. One never know who would bring the best solution to the table. This should not always be the leader. Giving the opportunitiy to the team memmbers to share ideas, perspectives and solutions will increase the probibility to make the right decision.

In this fast changing world with new ways of working and new technological improvements the decision making process has also gone through a huge transformation. Leaders have to take decisions much faster. While this change can be persived challenging some times, the change comes with a lot of advantages . For example: - having access to the wisdom of a global crowd. This gives access to big data and can accelerate the decision making process. - tolerance for mistakes and failures. In this fast changing world, the tolerance for making mistakes and failures is acceptable and is part of the process.

Resilient leaders are agile leaders. This means that they can find ways to master situations. How is this possible? 1. Understanding the own triggers (reasons) 2. Spending time to investigate the rooth cause of the triggers 3. Understanding how these triggers press the hot buttons (verbal, written and non-verbal reaction) and why 4. Spending time to change the behavior, inspire and motivate others to the same

As a dedicated person that one can call workaholic I exactly know how it feels to work 24hours without a rest. The increased work pressure and expectations negatively impact our well being and mental health if we do not take the necessary for a break to prevent a burnout. I usally go for a walk, do something in the garden or listen to a podcast to decrease the level of my stress.

Understanding the own communication style and the communication style of the others is crucial in building trustful relationships. The communication style could be red, yellow, green or blue. Each color comes with strengths & weaknesses. We all carry all the colors but can be dominant in one color. For example a red person is task focused and can be direct, proactive and assertive while a green person is people focused, is more reflective and empathetic. These 2 communication style can clash while the red can think that the green one is to empathetic, supportive and slow. The green can think that the red is too proactive and agressive. Understanding different communication styles will help to amend the communication accordingly.
