Willing to improve the customer experience and automate time consuming processes, m3 has built a cloud platform to digitalize its activities. Tenants were then able to interact seamlessly with agents and suppliers. Incident management was significantly improved with the automatic processing of up to 50% of incidents.
From a technical perspective, the architecture is cloud native for the new components, API driven and highly integrated with legacy backend on premise systems (ERP, DW). One app was built per population using Angular and Ionic. Digital identities and SSO were managed with a new IdP Keycloak. AWS was essential to the success of the project for provisioning new future proof assets. Among the key services used ControlTower, CloudFormation/SAM, Network Manager, DynamoDB, Lambda, API GW, X-Ray. As the brands are growing and targeting world wide customers, the company aimed at zero downtime for its eCommerce platform. Based on Hybris and AWS, many improvements were identified in terms of infrastructure (e.g. AWS EC2, ALB, ACM) and CICD (moving from Jenkins to AWS Code*) to significantly reduce the downtime. In addition, best practices around the landing zone and datacenter migration were implemented over time to improve the maturity level.
