HOWDY! I make art on the web, sometimes it’s quite interesting - you can see a curated sample above. I like creatures, beasties, anthros and things - sometimes I do fanart too (pokemon, flight rising, more??)

you can find me elsewhere too, my username is chalkrub most everywhere, but tumblr is my secret favourite place so you’ll see more content here….

I’ll open comms periodically, keep your eyes peeled if interested!

also i think i finally sorted my computer issues.......i think i'm FREE.........i can finally open comms! for real this time! before october. i'm hoping

in the meantime i'd like to do some art trades to get back in the swing of things! if anyone is interested... <:^) i'll prioritise mutuals and/or people i know and i'll probably ask on twitter too, so i can't take too many i'm sorry. but i'll do these more often now. maybe.

realised i never responded to this sorry! it’s mostly just etching in black with a pencil-y textured brush, but i’ll erase away sometimes too - it makes a different effect, idk i just mess around……my process is never set i wing it every time

#ask #anon #also if you want the texture crust around the black lines to have the slight colour gradient effect then you have to use layer effects #like the noise pixels become muddy if i don't add some layer effects since it's grey/black. hope that makes sense lol

My final Art Fight attack this year, and by far the most experimental, is this vector illustration I did for @chalkrub of their character Mendel!

I did some vector illustration work in college, but I haven't done much since, so I wanted to brush off my skills and try something new at the same time. I landed on this "quantized" style, which ended up being a ton of fun and a super refreshing process!
