The Yanfeng Smart Steering Wheel series has undergone several years of design iteration. It features the innovative Adaptive Dual Depth for enhanced safety, the smart multi-zone hand-off detection (HOD) function, an aesthetically pleasing integrated steering wheel design, and the environmentally friendly ClickRim steering wheel. These features contribute to creating a safer, greener, and more personalized driving experience for all passengers.

Resources are finite and there is a growing demand for recycling solutions to reduce waste and increase the reuse of resources. Recyclability is a step in the right direction, and forming collaborations in the automotive supply chain is the key to success. We have established a range of recycling projects with our customers, suppliers, and other organizations in all three regions. Recycled materials play a critical role in Yanfeng’s circularity approach. Global purchases of recycled plastic resins increased by 14% over the previous year to 6.39 million kilograms.

It can realize a variety of internal and external texture effects such as three-dimensional, multiple gradients, technological bionic, and crystal texture through micro-nano optical technology. It can be further combined with lighting and sensing technology to create a unique intelligent surface.

A globetrotter on his trip... at sea, over land and now... finally with us in Neuss. Our Electric Vehicle Interior (EVI) concept has recently arrived at our site. He has traveled a long way on his journey and used different types of transportation. From Novi in Michigan to the coast of New York by train, then on board of a ship - via MSC steamship line - to Rotterdam, Netherlands. He was on the high sea alone for 10 days... and then by truck from Rotterdam via Düsseldorf to us in Neuss. All in all, his journey took around 3 weeks and 4850 miles. In the Top 100 Global Auto Parts Suppliers list published on June 24 by Automotive News, Yanfeng has globally ranked 15th with consolidated sales of US$15.513 billion, up two places from the previous year, and continued its lead as a top Chinese auto parts supplier.

“We have to move faster. We need to discuss the topic of circular economy together in this broader group to speed up.” With these words, Gunnar Büchter, Vice President Global Sustainability, kicked off our Product Sustainability Day in Neuss recently. How can we speed up with sustainable plastics, recycling technologies and materials? What do we need to do to make our surface solutions and injection molding processes more sustainable? The Yanfeng team invited selected internal functions and external business partners to discuss these subjects. Presentations on the latest sustainability trends and requirements for vehicle manufacturing were also shared. In special workshops the participants were able to collaborate, deepen the discussion, jointly tackle the next steps towards a circular economy and develop new solutions. This week, we had the honor of hosting the leadership teams from HASCO, our parent company, and Yanfeng EU at our Technical Center in Trencin, Slovakia.
