I ordered the super king size version of this ottoman bed. It arrived in a single (heavy) box and everything was present - even some spare fittings, just-in-case.The frame itself was easy to assemble and only took my wife and I around an hour in total, we didn't have any issues at all until it came time to close the bed after fitting the gas lifts, they were completely stuck open and just wouldn't move - I couldn't put any more force into trying to close the bed without breaking it so had to just disconnect them for now. Unfortunately (and frustratingly) it's impossible to know if there's an issue with this until you've finished building the bed! Due to this, it only gets 2/5 stars as it's not really functional as an ottoman bed. I have contacted customer support and will update the review if the issue gets resolved.UPDATE: after contacting Zinus support it turns out that you have to mount the mattress BEFORE attaching the gas lifts to the bed (the bed frame & mattress can be quite heavy so you'll need at least 2-3 people to do this). Once the mattress is mounted it still takes quite a bit of force the first time but it does work.Review changed to 4/5.

After a palava of being sent the wrong colour and trying to speak to an actual person at amazon to arrange collection, finally got collected and the correct colour delivered.
So, box is long and weighs the same as 3 elephants so that was a struggle as I got the delivery chaps to drop it at the door entrance, my fault. Anyway. Unpacked and got the bits out which were all clearly numbered and got the instructions. This is where my brain fell out my head. I'm pretty good at flat pack, I've assembled items where instructions were in another language or just pure fantasy. These ones were another level. I gathered my help (elderly mother who is actually way more helpful than husband lol) and the two of us set about reading the destructions. We struggled for ages getting the bits to fit, realising we'd done it wrong and re dojng - this happened more than I'd be happy to admit. Finally on the last leg we realised the instructions for the lift up bit were meant to be built upside down and then flipped over (neither of us have great eyesight to be fair) so everything had to be unbolted and started again! The last section where you attach the lifting arms to the bed wouldn't allow the bed to be lowered and it was stuck in the upright lift position, after about 1.5 hours of contemplating the issue we abandoned that bit as the bed still lifted and by then we were tired, bored and so over this bed building lark lol.. so we have a bed that lifts somewhat, the right colour, and quite sturdy. Daughter said she loves it. It is a nice bed, instructions were odd and my only criticism is that there isn't much of a lip on the base to keep the mattress from sliding about but it fits the mattress perfectly with no gaps (both U.K. double sizes). I would recommend this bed but have someone who has good eyesight to read the instructions for you!

Definitely go for it you won't regret.Comes with all what they claim.Have purchased similar frames or design from Amazon earlier.But this one is all for you if you are looking for a bed with storage.It gives you ample space for your endless storage and leaves your room aesthetically beautiful.It comes with all the necessary tool kit you might need through the fixation with extra screws,nut and things.Very reliable and simple instruction manual.We fixed it in an hour or more.
We even had purchased from IKEA but it came with no tools to fix in and surprisingly low quality when it comes to IKEA branding.

This one is definitely recommendable,value for money and definitely speaks for the brand.

I was worried after some reviews, but I have to say I’m very impressed with this bed, delivered quickly and put inside my house by delivery men, easy to put together I did it by myself with no issues, 31yr old women 4ft 11 :) looks nice, loads of storage underneath, is a bit stiff to push back down but just give it a little of force and goes down nicely, sturdy and nice colour. Over all very happy great bed for the price

The bed itself is Lovely, easy to put together however the bed doesn't stay up when lifted. Which is abit of an inconvenience as I'm on my own and if I need to get something from the back of the bed it's going to end up squashing me. So I've got this bed for storage purchases and unable to use it for safety reasons.

I recently purchased this bed with high hopes, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. After only five uses, the welding on the strut that lifts the bed broke, rendering it unusable. This flaw not only makes the bed inconvenient but also poses a safety concern. I was really looking forward to having a functional and practical bed, but this experience has left me disappointed.

The quality of the welding is quite poor, as it couldn't even withstand minimal usage. I expected better durability for the price I paid. I am now left with no option but to throw away the bed, which is a waste of money and resources.

I hope the manufacturer takes note of this issue and improves the construction of their beds, as it is essential for products to meet basic quality standards. I would not recommend this bed to anyone seeking a reliable and durable option.

This item arrived in good time, was well packed and it made for an easy build. The only issue I have with it is that, being a super king with a super king mattress on top, it is too heavy a lift for me. I am older but I did buy it for the storage and am quite disappointed by this having thought the pneumatic hinges would have made the lift easier.
