As you can see, this item is stunningly beautiful and comes beautifully packaged. From its feel and appearance, you would expect it to be exceptional. I was really looking forward to wearing it to sleep in at night. I loved that the sides covered my cheeks - this was why I bought it: I wanted a face mask to cover my cheeks because I get a crease in my cheek when my head tilts to the side when I am asleep, and I was advised a silk eye mask that also covers the cheek area would stop this. But there were several issues with this mask. Firstly, once it’s on, it’s not like the elasticated ones where if you need to see something when it’s on, you can just lift the bottom of the eye mask up slightly or pop it on your forehead then pop it back down. You can’t do that with this Drowsy mask. You have to take the whole thing off, and I can take a while to settle down at night, so that was an inconvenience. Secondly, when it is on the face there is pressure across the eyes if you are to secure it so it won’t move around or off while you’re sleeping. I also found it hard to breathe through my nose due to pressure on my nose. I sleep on my back, and I can assure you that the Velcro is not an issue - and trust me, I am like the princess and the pea. However, the worst problem with this mask was that when I took it off at 2am because I just could not sleep with it, it was too uncomfortable- it had left many DEEP indentation marks all along my forehead and my temples. Also At 10am they are still there and also. I’ve had a really bad headache from the pressure of the mask against my head, which has still not gone away. Hopefully the marks will have faded by the end of the day; I think the marks are due to the band underneath the material. If you feel the mask, you can feel there is a tough band underneath which presses again your head after you secure it. My usual silk masks are just silk. Nothing hard is pressing in my head!! Thank God I did not have to go to work today because the marks are really noticeable! Presumably if I were to wear this mask every night, this mask would cause more problems than it promises to solve. I feel really disappointed Nd a bit of a fool for being deceived by the clever persuasive marketing. When I put my cheaper £7.99 mask on top of it, the depth of the mask is exactly the same, anyway. So really you’re just paying £70 for a gimmick. I was really looking forward to enjoying using this mask though and when I unpackaged it, I was like wow, this is so beautiful and considered it an investment for my sleep quality. The price tag didn’t bother me because if it gave me a great night sleep and covered my cheeks, I didn’t care. I have gone back to my £7.99 eye mask from Bee Vine, which is comfortable and works. Two cam in the packet and one was asymmetrical, with the pink one being a couple of cm larger/longer on one side, but other than that they are perfect. Sometimes it’s worth paying high end prices, but sometimes it definitely is not because the cheaper versions are better or just as good. In my case, I get a great sleep with one that is 10% of this price if this Drowsy mask, and I’m only saying this because I want to warn someone so they don’t experience what I have. The Bee Vine mask is the middle of the three masks in one of my photos. I highly recommend BeeVine eye mask.
