Weird Sizing

This is a lovely shirt, but the shape is very strange - it is tight across the chest, but loose at the back. We went up a size in case that would help, but it was still pulling across the chest, but had even more excess fabric in the back. The side seams appear to be too far towards the back, rather than straight down the sides, under the arms. Such a shame, as it is exactly what my husband was looking for

Nice shirt in various colours , i bought a medium and fits as i thought , if one is more rounded then Large would be the answer , im 42" chest and 5ft 5 inches, sleeves a bit long but can roll them up so yes a nice shirt for the summer and holidays

Other shirts from M&S have been a good fit but this was a bit small across the chest although the linen may relax after a few washes. Also, the linen was stiff and shiny and felt rough against the skin - again this may improve after washing. Returned.

Shirt Stained on Arrival
I ordered one in shirt in medium and one in large to test for sizes. The medium was the right size, but it was stained when it arrived, and was the last one in stock. It was not easy to get ahold of someone - the chat connected me to an agent, then immediately disconnected me, so I had to call. Returning will be easy enough, and no rush as returns are available until January.
