I chose the red one for my son in law - his work commitments mean he doesn’t have the time to devote to traditional brewing and bottling. So this seems the perfect solution and I’m sure, once I’ve tasted it, I’ll be giving it the full 5 stars. It’s a very smart, neat barrel (although you may well need a separate fridge on the garage, this one would fill a normal under counter fridge!) with the exclamation mark as the pull tap. Great design.
He needed to register on the specific app, and get the (free!) first press pack. Further packs are a reasonable cost, working out at less than £2 a pint and there’s a good range of ales and lagers on the app. Big plus - they can be dropped through the letterbox, so no waiting in for parcels. And the major selling point is that each pack is fresh, so once you start your brew (ready in 10 days) you know it’s going to be made with fresh not stale ingredients. We’ve got another few days to wait for tasting time but judging by he popularity of this, I’d say it’s going to be a winner. A very clever, neat and compact system, making the whole brewing process easy yet positive. For busy people, this will be ideal. I promise to amend the rating once we’ve tasted it!

 If you like the idea of brewing your own beer without the faff then this unit is for you. The Pinter is an all in one home brewing machine. Just fill the unit with 5 litres of water, add a fresh press, some yeast and your hops (bought separately as a kit from the Pinter website) Give it a shake and set it down for a week or 2. When it's done, just attach your tap and pour out 10 delicious pints, hassle free from the same unit!! It's that easy. They have a range of different types of beer from lagers, pilsners, IPAs, stouts, ciders and a nice brown ale. I always liked the idea of brewing my own but was put off by all the different bits of kit I'd need plus bottles to bottle it up. Now I can brew my own, and pour it fresh when I want it.
