Using the fresh and earthy base of Cazcabel Blanco Tequila, Cazcabel Coffee blends a roasted sweet hit of luxury arabica coffee from the coastal region of Soconusco in Mexico. It's a stunning short that can be used in innovative cocktails or enjoyed neat over ice. Produced in an independent distillery in the highlands of Arandas, Cazcabel Tequila production stills follows the same principles as Don Cazcabel where the brand takes its name. A faithful student of Toltec, Olmec and Aztec traditions, his tequila recipes only use the best natural ingredients that the fertile land can offer and this philosophy has been the inspiration for Cazcabel Tequila.

CAZCABEL TEQUILA IS PRODUCED AT IT’S BRAND EXCLUSIVE DISTILLERY AND MADE ONLY WITH AGAVE GROWN ON THE FAMILY ESTATE

It all starts with agave.

Our blue-weber agave is grown by our own people on our family estate, meaning we are in control of ensuring the highest quality agave is used in Cazcabel and that it is grown in a sustainable manner so the land we use is left in a better state for future generations.

We focus on growing bigger, higher yield agave, which is better for Tequila production and also means we use less terrain. After the agave is harvested we leave the land to rest for 2 years to recover before re-planting.

Our agave is taken to our brand exclusive distillery located in San Francisco de Asis, Jalisco, almost 2,000 metres above sea-level, perfectly located for the natural water springs with the right minerality to produce great tequila.

The agave pinas are cooked for 26 hours, to produce a softer flavour profile, then crushed by roller mill to extract the maximum juice from each agave, before being fermented, double distilled and then rested in stainless steel for 3 months. This process is all overseen by our Master Distiller Yadira Hernandez Lozano, ensuring quality control every step of the way.

Our Reposado and Anejo expressions are aged in 200 litre American oak barrels for 6 and 12 months, whilst the flavour expressions are made by adding all natural ingredients to our additive free Blanco tequila.

For someone who doesn’t like tequila or more like it just doesn’t agree with me this is very nice. Smooth and easy to drink. No mixers needed. If you like coffee flavoured alcohol I would recommend trying this one. Not the best in my opinion of all the coffee flavoured ones but it is high up there.
