I’m Indian. I had thick straight hair that has turned thin and curly over the years due to damage, bleach, straighteners, and products. I used this for the first time today and it is insane to me that something actually worked for my hair. I followed the exact directions and it seems as if years of damage just vanished off my hair after the first use. I can assure you my hair is usually puffy and visibly brittle, but not today. I was very concerned when I saw the size of the product (I bought the small one and boy is it tiny for the price), but I can assure you it is 100% worth the price for the quality of it. Just wowed. I didn’t think anything could repair my hair at this point, but I took a chance and if you’re taking a chance too, this is the product to take that chance with. Recommend fully.

You must use it correctly, meaning you cannot condition after you shampoo-however, this does not mean you can't use a pre-poo conditioner to detangle your hair. Condition, detangle, shampoo twice, gently towel dry, and then apply this product. I dyed my hair once and the curls weren't the same. Frizzy, undefined, no structure, dull, and just so fugly. I have naturally Hermione hair, from the first Harry Potter movie. Super fuzzy & frizzy, and then I dye it on top of that. The first time I used this I noticed a hint of shine I hadn’t seen for a while (still a bit, but less frizz), second time even better, by the 3rd & 4th my hair was so perfect. Great shine & manageability with no frizz. I didn’t put any other product in it. But after one wash not using k18 the frizz came back a good bit, 2nd wash it was back the the previous fluff from before I ever used it. Instead of regular shampoo, I used a cleansing conditioner ahead of time. For the two washes without I made sure I used a deep conditioning mask like I always do. Only reason I gave it four stars was because how freaking expensive it is for such a small amount. There’s no way to tell how much is left in the bottle. It’s so good that I don’t want to run out, so I’m considering buying the larger bottle. I’m not sure what the people with negative reviews did wrong, perhaps they needed to clarify silicone and other products from their hair better beforehand, or put too much on thinking more was better. I’d say if you’re considering this to get the larger size for the better value- I’m almost positive you won’t regret this purchase. I have never found any other product give such good results, the only issue is that it isn’t lasting like they claim. I’ve used the whole olaplex line, hundreds of leave-in conditioners & curl creams, maybe 5 different brands of gloss treatments, salon keratin treatments similar to Brazilian blowouts and none of them have been This awesome. I’m going to start using it only for special occasions, or when I’m trying to make good impressions. Oh & other people have mentioned the scent, which I don’t think is noticeable afterwards- it’s very lightly scented as either lotus or magnolia flower (I forget which scent corresponds). Doesn’t smell “chemically” scented or off putting.

Absolutely love this stuff! A little goes a long way so don’t use more than 3 pumps. I have long, thick hair and that’s all I need. I take a pump, rub it between my hand until your hands turn white. Then section hair. Work through that section avoiding the root. Repeat until you have all sections done. Of course if you have short hair it’s much faster and less pumps. No need to rinse out.

Let it sit on your head for at least 4 minutes before styling or adding other products. Then style as usual.

Makes my hair incredibly soft and manageable but without weighing it down or feeling greasy!

The cost of this product is expensive, and it is more than I usually spend on hair care products. However, desperate to find an effective product to tone down my frizz in this summer humidity, I bit the bullet and purchased it. To my great surprise, it worked! And a little goes a long way. It only takes a dab to get great results. The directions say not to condition hair before using the product so my hair does not feel as smooth as it usually does with my regular condition. That being said, my regular conditioner does not stand up to the humidity. It will probably not be a year-round product for me but it sure works for me now.
