Olympia DUMBO has been shortlisted for Project of the Year at the prestigious Society of Façade Engineering (SFE) 2024 Facade Design and Engineering Awards! This residential tower has been recognized in the “New Build - International” category—along with six other projects across the world. DeSimone's façade and building envelope specialists collaborated in the development of an alternative, bespoke panelized wall system for some 196,000 SF of the tower façade surface area. As both façade consultants and structural engineers for this project, we successfully integrated the custom façade with the innovative, step-and-twist structure through direct, in-house collaboration between colleagues.  This process created numerous efficiencies throughout design and construction—a key element where the synergism of our practice areas truly shone.
