Audio Licensing
All licensing enquiries should be directed to the appropriate record company. For recordings released from 1982 to 1991, interested parties should contact Beggars Music Group (BMG) for 4AD. For recordings released from 1992 to 1996, please contact Universal Music Group for Mercury/Fontana. For all other enquiries, please contact Bella Union. Alternately, you may negotiate royalty payments through one of the three major licensing services ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC. Please refer to the FAQ for more information about licensing and rights.
Video Licensing
Cocteau Twins videos are owned by Beggars Music Group (BMG) for 4AD-era recordings, which includes videos for “Song to the Siren,” “Pearly-Dewdrops’ Drops,” “Aikea-Guinea,” “Love’s Easy Tears,” “Crushed,” “Carolyn’s Fingers,” “Cico Buff,” “Iceblink Luck,” and “Heaven or Las Vegas.” Rights to videos for “Evangeline,” “Bluebeard,” “Rilkean Heart,” “Half-Gifts,” and “Tishbite” are owned by Universal Music Group for Mercury/Fontana. All other video or film footage is the copyright of the original producer or broadcaster. Please contact the relevant parties for further assistance.
