Don’t get tricked by the treat that is the new trailer for Agatha All Along, the upcoming WandaVision spinoff from Marvel and Disney+. The series brings back Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, the legendary witch now trying to reclaim her powers, with some help from Aubrey Plaza.

Based on the way this trailer opens, it seems like showrunner Jac Schaeffer, who previously created WandaVision, isn’t done playing with classic TV tropes, leaning hard on the cliches of crime procedurals to set up Agatha’s new place in life. That’s just the kickoff for a whole new adventure, though.

“In Agatha All Along, the infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell,” reads the official description. “Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…”

Also starring in the new series are Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Debra Jo Rupp, and Patti LuPone. While all episodes of WandaVision were directed by Matt Shakman, Schaeffer directs the pilot episode of Agatha, with Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Montiero sharing helming duties as well.

Agatha All Along is one of the MCU’s limited offerings this year, along with January’s Echo and this month’s Deadpool & Wolverine. Though the tentpole giant is in a rebuilding phase following some setbacks, there are big plans in store for the future, including a potential Avengers film that would feature over 60 characters.

The first two episodes of Agatha All Along premiere September 18th at 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET on Disney+. New episodes will drop Wednesdays. Check out the full trailer below.
