Access to Course Web Sites
Students enrolled in courses with CoursePlus sites have access to those sites for the current and following three academic years. For example, if a course occurred in the second term of the 2022-2023 academic year, a student enrolled in the course has access to the CoursePlus site until the end of the 2025-2026 academic year. After that point, access to that CoursePlus site is terminated. Faculty have the option to turn off access to an entire CoursePlus site for all students in the course at any time.
Content in CoursePlus sites may become unavailable at any time at the discretion of the course faculty, or per third-party licensing agreements. Access to some content in CoursePlus sites may require being a current, matriculated student at the University with an active JHED ID.
Statement on Transcripts
The Center for Teaching and Learning employs a third-party vendor to produce transcripts. While we endeavor to have transcripts to accompany all lectures when they open to students, neither CTL nor its vendor can guarantee delivery. Transcripts are a valuable learning resource for all students, and our goal is to provide transcripts within 7 work days of the lecture open date. In the vast majority of cases, we meet this goal. CTL staff are acutely aware of when this goal is not met, and will work to ensure that the issue is resolved as soon as possible.
If you are student who has traditionally received an accommodation around transcripts, please contact the BSPH Office of Disability Support Services as soon as possible to verify your accommodation and ensure that it is met in all of your classes.
iOS and Android Support
While CoursePlus websites are accessible on recent iOS (iPhone, iPad) and Android devices, there are some features that will not work properly if you are using older devices or older device operating systems.
Scheduled Maintenance and Downtime
While the CoursePlus team strives to have all its websites available all the time, notification of planned maintenance or downtime periods will be posted throughout CoursePlus and on the CTL Blog in the days preceeding planned downtime. In the case of emergency maintenance or unexpected outages, information will be posted to the @courseplus Twitter account with information about the problem.
Privacy Notice
Your access to and activity within CoursePlus is tracked for educational purposes — much like taking "class attendance" at an on-site course. This information is accessible only by course faculty, training administrators, or Center for Teaching and Learning staff. Cookies and JavaScript, both of which are used for tracking purposes, must be enabled in your Web browser.
Center for Teaching and Learning staff may also access course websites to post content, assist faculty and TAs, and resolve technical problems.
