A few months ago, we found ourselves pondering a question: how can we match the stage lighting with the virtual scene? Having found no existing recipe, software or hardware, we opted to create our own solution.  We named it CyberGaffer. Join our Discord server https://lnkd.in/eux4AzfU to follow the journey of our product. CyberGaffer enables you to replicate virtual scene lighting in the real world. It's a set of plugins for 3D software (Unreal Engine, Unity, and Blender) accompanied by a standalone application. The plugins capture light information from the virtual scene and transfer it to the application. The application computes the best possible real-world approximation and tunes your physical lights accordingly (through ArtNet-DMX). The lights in this video were controlled by CyberGaffer. We filmed it in our small green-screen studio, merely 3.0×3.5 m in size, using only 9 RGBW LED lights. To make a fair demo, we skipped any manual color grading here.
