Since 2020, we've been supporting schools and educational institutions through our Prusa Education program. 📚 Yesterday, at the Magenta Experience Center in Arkády Pankrác, we presented the project's achievements to date and shared our plans for the future. And there was a lot to share. ✨ Over the past four years, we've donated more than 2100 printers to educational institutions across the Czech Republic, and we plan to establish official training centers where students and teachers can learn how to use 3D printers. There will be eleven of these centers in total, with more likely to be added. In collaboration with the Department of Geoinformatics and Didactics of Informatics at FP TUL in Liberec and other partners, we're also working on a Handbook for teachers to help them effectively teach 3D printing. 📖 We're also involved in T-Mobile's educational events focused on 3D printing for students and seniors. We're also partnering with board game maker Albi to develop the AlbiLAB kit, which combines modern technology and 3D printing to engage kids in science in a fun way. As we said, there's really a lot going on. 😉 We're proud that the Czech Republic is one of the leading countries in the world for the availability of 3D printers in schools, and we believe that our projects play an important role in this. 🦾

At the beginning of August we were visited by members of Prusa Research to learn how we are using the new Prusa XL printer to create prosthetic limb sockets for amputees. These printers are currently being used in Ukraine to better help trans-humeral amputees, and face less challenges due to power cuts. We are so lucky to have such an amazing company supporting our work and providing high quality printers for our specialized sockets. Stay tuned to see more from Prusa in the coming months! With the release of the MK4S, we also launched our new native Android and iOS app 📲 a clean, functional tool for managing your 3D printers. 💡 Compatible with any Prusa Connect-enabled printer, it provides a quick overview of your printers, lets you remotely start, pause, and stop prints, and provides push notifications. 🦾 You can even access Printables directly and start printing immediately without using a slicer. Setting up Wi-Fi is easy with a simple NFC tap, and we're planning to add features like camera support and advanced notifications soon. 🦾

Another perfect new feature of the Original Prusa MK4S is a custom-made high-flow nozzle based on CHT technology, boosting the volumetric flow rate by 45-114% depending on the material. 🌟 This nozzle allows faster printing without compromising interlayer adhesion, using the same filaments you already know (you don’t have to switch to any specialized filaments just for the sake of higher speed). 🦾 Combined with optimized firmware and print profiles, the MK4S not only prints faster than the MK4, but also delivers even better quality, while maintaining the proven reliability and serviceability of its predecessor. ✨ https://lnkd.in/ddhCscZc

What's new on the Original Prusa MK4S? For starters, the MK4S features a brand new 360° cooling system consisting of a high-performance turbine and a redesigned fan shroud - the result of intensive airflow simulations to ensure that the cold air is directed precisely onto the print. We've applied all the knowledge gained from designing the industrial Prusa Pro HT90. (Do you remember when we said that the innovations from the Prusa Pro line would trickle down to our desktop printers? We were not kidding). 😉 This solution is much more effective compared to blanket fans because the airflow is not blocked by the print itself. The weight of the Nextruder remains virtually unchanged, but the performance is far better. Even with the large turbine, the printer is still beautifully quiet and can deliver prints with extreme 75° overhangs. Why does this matter? Because where other printers would already need a hefty amount of supports, the MK4S can easily deliver a beautiful-looking print. Less supports means shorter print times and less material wasted. 🦾
