One of the simplest things we can do to contribute to a better environment is to reduce the amount of waste. This is especially important with plastics, a fact that July, the month without plastics, reminded us all of. 💚 Škoda Auto is reducing the amount of plastics and increasing sustainability in its production. This effort is part of the automaker's broader strategy, which includes several innovative projects and initiatives. Take a look at them: 🟢 One of the key projects is the development of sustainable materials. Lukáš Zuzánek from technical development explains the main advantages of sustainable materials. These include saving fossil resources and using materials at the end of their life cycle. This allows us to offer customers cars that contain environmentally friendly materials. 🟢 An important part of this strategy is also the collaboration with universities, where joint development activities and student projects in the field of sustainable materials are carried out. "Starting my morning with a ride in nature makes me feel full of energy," says Filip Sklenárik, specialist on 48V battery systems and regulatory expert at Škoda Auto 🌟 After graduating from the Technical University in Košice, Filip sought a career that combined independence with teamwork and a change of environment. At Škoda, he found exactly that. But what makes his story unique? Here are some highlights: 🔧 Filip joined Škoda almost immediately after his studies, focusing on 48V battery systems and regulations. He emphasizes the importance of cooperation between companies and universities, helping students gain hands-on experience. "I ensure that all vehicles are manufactured in accordance with the ever-changing legislation," says Filip. 🛠️ His job involves interpreting and implementing complex regulations, ensuring compliance, and supporting other teams with technical challenges. Combining work with his passion for cycling, Filip sometimes commutes from Prague to Mladá Boleslav by bike, 🚴♂️ enjoying the scenic beauty of the Central Bohemian Region. He was even referred to as the "Sagan of Košice" due to his competitive spirit in mountain biking. "Commuting gives me a change of scenery. When I ride a bike, everything around me is green, and that gives me energy," he explains.
