Use: Ideal for final inspection before shipping the product to the customer. 🔹In-Circuit Testing (ICT) Purpose: To verify the correct wiring and functionality of individual components on a PCB. Method: Use of test probes to measure the electrical properties of individual components. Benefit: Quick detection of manufacturing defects such as bad connections or defective components. Use: Suitable for quick inspection during the manufacturing process. 🔹Key differences Scope of testing: FCT tests the board as a whole, while ICT focuses on individual components. Test-it-off in its original idea was created for one specific field. ✨👇 Although Test-it-off can handle almost any material and product (we've talked about this a lot), it was originally designed for one specific area - testing printed circuit boards (PCBs). Most of our Test-it-off applications are equipped with FCT/ICT testers that are used for off-the-line PCB testing. Now our research and development activities are focused on this area, with the aim of offering the best solution for automating PCB testing, especially in High-Mix Low-Volume production environments. Fully automated, robust solutions already exist for high-volume PCB testing. Test-it-off, however, focuses on helping those manufacturers who work with smaller volumes - whether for in-house development, for example in the production of specific electronics, or as subcontractors of special components for other companies. You can't do it without fingers or suction cups! 🫳 In order for Test-it-off to inspect your products or input material for production, it must somehow "hand them over" from the point of storage. This is, of course, what AUBO Robotics robots are for. But! An AUBO robot is an arm, and each arm must have fingers or some other way to grasp a given physical object. That's what the grippers are for in collaborative robots. 🤖 These can be two-fingered, three-fingered, or fitted with one or more suction cups. Suction cups are used where the grippers cannot be manipulated with fingers due to the fit or for materials that could be damaged by mechanical gripping. How good are the eyes of your quality controller? 👁️ For optical quality control in Test-it-off we use a set of high-end industrial lenses from VICO Imaging. The whole camera system with professional lenses allows you to test dimensions, colours and surfaces. It finds the slightest deviations that the human eye would not notice. It would be a strange solution for automated testing if it could not cope with the need to change instruments on its own. 🦾 You may need a double-ended gripper for some parts under test. For others, a vacuum gripper with a single suction cup. For large PCBs, you might need a gripper with two suction cups. Etc.
