🤝 This week was probably THE most important week for GPs in Venture Capital and Private Equity: It was SuperReturn/SuperVenture week. During this week we co-hosted two events, which were absolutely amazing. The feedback was completely overwhelming. Many people told us that they thought one of our events was the best event they had attended at SuperVenture/SuperReturn EVER. The reason for this is very simple - and this was the feedback that came from all sides: These two events were by far the most diverse events of the conference week. 🌈 The first event was the amazing 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 we hosted together with identity.vc I Backing LGBTQ+ Entrepreneurs, the Evangelistas and Out Investors. A big THANK YOU to STUDIO LEGAL Rechtsanwälte, EY, Cinven, bunch and torq.partners, our sponsors, who made this event possible. This event was planned for 200 people, but at the end more than 350 people joined us at the great beautiful Fotografisca venue - people actually had to queue at the entrance - it almost looked like the Berghain queue 🪩 Over 50% of the attendees were women and over 30% POC. ❤️ The second event we co-hosted was the 𝐋𝐏 & 𝐆𝐏 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡, which was initiated by European Women in VC and co-hosted by Hello Tomorrow and Alliance VC at the amazing Anomalie night club. A special thanks to Brightpoint Group, Latham & Watkins and Key Search who generously sponsored this event! Five LPs reached out to us after this event and told us that the quality of connections to GPs here was especially high and meaningful. This confirms the findings European Women in VC made last year in their report - female fund managers deliver high returns (with less risk at the same time!). Exciting News: The 2024 European Women in VC Report is out! ✨ In collaboration with Founders Forum Group and Tech Nation, the European Women in VC flagship report: "𝐁𝐄𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐒: 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞” is based on 334 VC firms and LPs surveyed across Europe. Here are the key findings: ⭐ More VC money is going to European positive impact-driven startups than ever before. ⭐ 88% of the VCs say that they use an impact investing framework or tool to guide their investment decision due to their own personal of fund’s values73% of LPs say alignment with SDGs is important. ⭐ 9 out of 10 of the VCs and LPs say that increased diversity in VC leads to better investments decisions and financial returns. ⭐ 82% of VCs and 77% of LPs say the diversity of the founding team of the startups or funds they invest in is important. ⭐ 87% have already implemented an internal ESG policy or plan to do so in the next year.
