The documentary highlights our contributions to sustainable aviation, showcasing our efforts to revolutionize air travel with our high-performance lithium-ion batteries. 🚀 Looking Ahead Our journey in Q2 has been marked by significant advancements and collaborations that reinforce our position at the forefront of the battery industry. A future product we are particularly excited about our cylindrical 46XX round cells. They are designed with customer-centric functionality and focus on specialized markets, enabling ambitious customer targets. They offer a remarkable balance between power and longevity, with a high lifecycle and excellent safety features, which makes them ideal for applications where weight and space are critical factors. We can’t wait to tell you more!  

#ElectricCars for everyone! Why does it make so much sense for businesses to take the first step and switch to electric company vehicles? 🚗🔌 The obvious reasons are to set an example for employees and also to improve the brand image. Company vehicles in particular tend to cover long distances, so a switch can drastically reduce a company's own ecological footprint. 🌱 However, the whole approach not only has advantages for the green conscience, but also economic ones: In the long term, e-cars can be more cost-efficient, partly because operating costs such as maintenance and #Energy are lower. Many people currently cite the inadequate #ChargingInfrastructure as a reason for not buying an e-car. This is understandable; after all, not everyone lives in a home with a charging station. But what if you could simply charge on company premises? That would certainly have a huge impact! 💪

#CustomCells expands cooperation with Group14 Technologies! 🤝 We’re very happy to announce a major step forward in our #partnership with Group14 Technologies, the global leader in silicon-carbon technology for lithium-ion batteries. 🌍🔋 This partnership will see us integrating Group14's SCC55® material into our high-performance battery cells, pushing the limits of what's possible in the #eMobility, and #eAviation sectors. Key highlights of the agreement: ➡ The contract value is expected to exceed US$300M, ensuring a substantial supply of SCC55® beyond 2030. ➡ Our aggressive growth plans include developing a factory in the United States with a capacity of up to 2GWh. 📣 "CustomCells, as an experienced premium player, knows how to push new materials to their absolute limit. And Group14’s SCC55® opens the doors to the next level of performance," says Dr. Dirk Abendroth, CEO of CustomCells. "This collaboration secures us access to silicon as an anode material for the next generation of cells and beyond, enabling significantly higher energy density, increased range, extreme fast charging, and reduced battery weight." On June 28, 2024, Jan Diekmann, Vice President of Innovation at #CustomCells, had the honor of participating in the M2N Media GmbH Converting Summit in Hamburg and joining an exciting panel on "Technology Trends in the Battery Sector." Our discussion focused on the impacts of these trends on the converting industry and provided deep insights into the future of #battery technology. 🔋 🧾 Topics and Discussions: Innovations in the Battery Sector: The panelists discussed the latest developments in battery technology, including advancements in energy density and charging speed. Impact on the Converting Industry: Discussions covered how these technological advances influence manufacturing processes and requirements in the converting industry. Sustainability and Recycling: A special focus was on sustainable practices and the importance of recycling in battery production to minimize the ecological footprint. 🧠 Key Takeaways: Technological Synergies: Collaboration between various industry experts is crucial for the advancement and implementation of new battery technologies. Challenges and Opportunities: The elimination of subsidies and the shortage of skilled workers present challenges but also offer the opportunity to find new paths through innovation and strategic partnerships. Future-Oriented Approaches: CustomCells and other market leaders are continuously working to push the boundaries of battery technology and develop new, more environmentally friendly solutions. Unsere Batterien werden nicht nur für Elektroautos, sondern seit 2023 auch für die Luftfahrt produziert. ✈ 📣 Johannes Durschang, Vertriebsleiter bei CustomCells, betont in seinem Interview: "CustomCells ist zur Aviation gekommen, weil das der nächste Jahrhundert-Trend werden wird. Neben der Elektrifizierung des Antriebsstrangs im Fahrzeug kann das elektrische Fliegen uns die nächsten Jahrhunderte begleiten." 📣 Christian Zender, Produktionsleiter bei CustomCells, erklärt die strengen Produktionsstandards und Testverfahren, die unsere #Batterien durchlaufen müssen: "Damit wir keine Partikel mit unserer Straßenkleidung in die Produktion verschleppen und so möglicherweise Batterien kontaminieren, achten wir sehr darauf, dass wir uns entsprechend ankleiden und die Batterien vor Partikeleintrag schützen, aber wir uns auch als Mitarbeiter vor dem Batteriematerial schützen." Die Dokumentation beleuchtet auch die strengen Tests, denen unsere Batterien unterzogen werden, wie z.B. ein Sturztest aus 15 Metern Höhe, um die Sicherheit bei Notlandungen zu gewährleisten. Die US-Zulassungsbehörde #FAA finanziert solche Testgelände, um sicherzustellen, dass unsere Batterien allen Anforderungen standhalten. 🦺 Diese Tests und Innovationen sind entscheidend für die Zertifizierung unserer Batterien für die Luftfahrt. Unsere kontinuierliche Forschung und Entwicklung zielt darauf ab, die Leistungskraft und Umweltverträglichkeit unserer Batterien ständig zu verbessern.
