🎉 Today marks a significant milestone for the Remote Tower Control Center in Brunswick. After months of preparations, trials, and adjustments, we successfully conducted live scenario tests for operations from the RTC for Flughafen Braunschweig-Wolfsburg GmbH. DAS trains ASHNA controllers on airport obstacle assessment for Pristina Airport In a two-day course, Jorge Casanova Sanchez de Ocana instructed a team of four controllers from ASHNA on a self-developed system for managing obstacles in the vicinity of Pristina airport. The system allows the graphical representation of ground contours, buildings and other structures. The arrival and departure corridors as well as flight procedures are also shown. Using three-dimensional representation, it can be easily and precisely identified whether new construction projects comply with the building protection regulations required for commercial airports and whether air traffic can be carried out safely. Complex issues are presented simply and understandably. We are pleased to be able to make an important contribution to aviation safety in Pristina.

The European Football Championship 2024, which concluded last Sunday, resulted in DAS and DFS achieving several new records and exceptional team performance. Despite the missed success for the German national team, the arrival and departure of the numerous fans proceeded smoothly. The day following the final, German airspace experienced its busiest day of the year with a total of 9,979 IFR flights. Particular focus was given to regional airports such as Dortmund Airport and Flughafen Braunschweig-Wolfsburg GmbH, which played a pivotal role in accommodating numerous national teams like France, the Netherlands, and England, as well as a large number of fans. The dedication and flexibility demonstrated by our employees were crucial in the success of this unprecedented event. We extend our gratitude to all our partners and employees for their outstanding commitment and reliability, which were integral to the flawless execution of this major sporting event.

Moving to a new facility and transitioning to a new system can definitely have its challenges, but we have firsthand experience with this process. We completed a successful transition in Bahrain, working alongside professional partners. One of the key factors to our success was maintaining effective communication between all teams involved. 🥳 When DAS employees come together for the annual DAS summer party... We started the day with a workshop discussing our DAS strategy, and then ended it with a fantastic party in the blazing 32-degree heat. It was such a special day for us, especially since we have employees from all corners of the world, living in different cities, and working on various projects remotely. It was a great opportunity for all of us to come together, catch up, and share lots of laughs. Thanks to the whole #DASTeam who made this team event truly unforgettable! 💙
