🚀 Exciting News: DHL Global Forwarding welcomes Barbara Eleota as the new Head of Ocean Freight for Europe, effective August 1st! 🌐 We are curious and spoke with Barbara about her plans. She shares, "First, I want to get to know as many colleagues as possible. It is very important to me to hear what drives them and what matters to them. Building strong connections and relationships is essential, and this will be my priority”. When we asked Barbara what leadership means to her, without hesitation she answered, "I believe that true leadership is about empowering your team and cultivating a culture that champions entrepreneurship and innovation. By fostering a culture of trust and constantly striving for excellence, we aim to create sustainable value for our customers and for the company." Barbara also shared how excited she is to join such a dynamic team and looks forward to contributing to our continued success. 👉 About Barbara Eleota: Barbara is an accomplished leader with over 25 years of experience in the logistics industry. Throughout her career, she has been particularly successful in Trade Management focusing on North America and as Country Ocean Freight Manager in Italy. Most recently, she was Head of Ocean Freight Europe at DB Schenker. Barbara will be based in Hamburg and will report directly to Tobias Schmidt, CEO DHL Global Forwarding Europe, with a dotted line to Casper Ellerbaek, Global Head of Ocean Freight at DHL Global Forwarding. With her expertise and vision, we're confident she will lead our team to new heights. 🚀 🙌 We had a chance to speak with Aditi about her plans and during our conversation, she graciously shared "I am excited about the role, and looking forward to accelerating the growth momentum at DHL Global Forwarding Greater China. Returning to DHL feels like coming home, and I look forward to reconnecting with my colleagues and bringing new ideas to the table. We have many opportunities to do more in this region, especially with our launch of the EV Center of Excellence in Shanghai.” 👉 About Aditi Rasquinha: Aditi held several senior leadership positions in the freight forwarding industry. She started her career with DHL in 2005 as Business Analyst for GCS in Singapore. Her latest role with DHL Group was as Director Ocean Freight DGF Malaysia in 2014. Thereafter, Aditi gained experience with Kuehne+Nagel as OFR Head Thailand and the Netherlands. Her extensive experience encompasses P&L management, operations, sales, and strategy, and has centered around business turnaround with a focus on delivering cultural and organizational transformation. Her most recent responsibilities include successfully managing and developing the overall Ocean Freight business as part of Schenker’s product portfolio for the APAC region. Aditi will be based in Shanghai, China, and will report to Niki Frank, CEO DGF APAC.
