This week, we enjoyed our DHL Group summer party in front of the Post Tower in Bonn. The theme was “Networking,” and it was fantastic to connect and socialize with both new and old colleagues. At DHL Group, we always strive for excellence across all departments and business units, but we also know how to have a great time (at the right time). We were too busy catching up to take any group photos this year, but DHL Internal Audit was well represented and took the opportunity to connect with each other as well as our business partners from the divisions.. Jakub moved from being a promising talent at DHL Express Czech Republic to a growing pillar in our Internal Audit core team! He's navigated the demanding yet rewarding 12-month internal trainee program and joined our ranks in Regional Audit Office Prague. His journey is a testament to DHL's commitment to nurturing young talent. Last week, our team got together for a meeting to talk about our latest strategy update. After the meeting, we planned some fun activities, including biking in the beautiful region of sunny Moravia. However, the weather had other plans for us. Instead of sunny skies, we faced heavy rain and storms 🌩. Our biking plans turned into an adventure of moving from one shelter to another, trying to stay dry. Looking back, this unexpected change became the best team bonding experience. Working together in the storm, finding humor in the situation, and supporting each other in tough conditions brought us closer 😉. Even though the weather was bad (or maybe because of it), we made memories that we'll now look back on with a smile.
