𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗢𝟮 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 🤝 With our Green Pledge, we have committed to reducing our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) by 50% by 2023 compared to 2019. While we have successfully reached our target and in fact, reduced our CO2 emissions in our own business operations by 50.4%, we also actively take responsibility for the remaining CO2 emissions of 7,583 tons. We are doing this by: 🔹 Continuing our support for a Gold Standard climate protection project in Cambodia by reducing the use of fossil fuels and substituting them for biogas 🔹 Investing in an impactful biochar project in Germany to remove carbon from the atmosphere whilst helping farmers to safe water for irrigation. To welcome them already we again organized a welcome day. A nice tradition where these young talents get to know their mentors, trainers and other apprentices and students before officially starting in a few weeks. After a cozy breakfast in our cantine in Ratingen the whole group travelled to Topgolf Oberhausen. The perfect place to have fun together, connect with the new colleagues and to get to know each other. 🏌️♂️ What makes this yearly welcome day so special is that it is mainly organized by our apprentices and students. Together with JobRad | Deutschland we have already provided 230 bikes to our employees in Ratingen. A great example for the engagement of our employees are the results of the “Stadtradeln” that took place in May. Of course, our employees were participating and collected a total of 1385 kilometers 👏 Congratulations you to Fabian, Melanie and Carsten who were our most active cyclists this year. Last week’s focus: The use of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resources. Jesper Erichsen, COO at DKV Mobility, Klaus Konrad Pesch, Mayor of Ratingen, and Olaf Tünkers, Chairman of the Unternehmensverband Ratingen, kicked of the dialogue before Leonid Mishkind, Head of AI at DKV Mobility introduced the around 50 participants to the use of AI in our company. Prof. Dr. Marius Wehner, professor for business studies, digital management and digital work at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, shared studies showing the enormous potential of AI in recruitment, while also addressing possible risks of using AI without human intervention. To round off a successful evening we invited all participants to take a tour through our DKV Mobility Experience World with us. In 1971 we introduced our vehicle services under the name “Extra Services”. “With this card you can take us at our word!” was the motto that advertised a long list of services such as tyre service, repair service, emergency breakdown and vehicle cleaning. The “Extra Services” have been steadily extended and today ~33.000 vehicle service stations are part of our extensive network. Together with some of our colleagues, we looked into the topic of allyship and collected their statements about being an ally in the workplace. For us, being an ally isn't just about words; it's about actions. It's about active listening, learning, and advocating for those whose voices may not always be heard. In his speeches he answered the following questions: 1️⃣ How to avoid the hype and focus on business value? 2️⃣ What to take care of when working with AI? 3️⃣ How to align forces and get the right people to work together? He summarizes: “We will generate business value by using the Power of Data and enrich this with the new AI tools available. In light of our 90th anniversary we created something special for our employees: Our very own limited edition sticker album where we delve deep into our archives and dug out nine decades of DKV Mobility: From our very first logo, historical images, innovations and highlights to the latest products. To get stickers and complete the albums our employees can take part in different actions like commuting by bike, walking 8,000 steps a day or donating to a good cause. While projects are not only assessed based on conventional KPIs such as duration until implementation and cost consideration, an additional component, level of teamwork and team dynamics is also a factor. Sven Dachner, Director Project Management Office at DKV Mobility, started the show off with his opening speech. He was talking about the development of Project Rockstars and reflecting on how projects at DKV Mobility not only get more and more complex but also more interesting. In total 26 projects were evaluated.
