Have you heard about AWAKEN: The American WAKE experimeNt? 🇺🇸 AWAKEN is a groundbreaking initiative happening in the USA. AWAKEN is not just any field campaign; it's an international, multi-institutional effort aimed at gathering data about wind turbine interactions and atmospheric dynamics within wind farms 🌬. That data will be used to validate wind power plant models and push the boundaries of industry knowledge. A lot of the data are already public, which is awesome. It's a great resource for the wind energy R&D community, and part of that treasure trove of data is - you guessed it - wind lidar data. So... we figured we should plot it for you all to see.
