Our Head of Policy Erwin Voloder, MES has highlighted on his post an exciting proposal on ERC-7683 - jointly proposed by Uniswap Labs and Across Protocol. This standard would introduce 'cross-chain intents', a breakthrough for seamless #crosschain transactions. https://lnkd.in/ewjKGCpc Key points: 1. ERC-7683 standardizes interfaces for cross-chain trade execution. 2. Cross-chain intents allow complex, multi-step transactions across different blockchains to be executed as a single action. 3. This standard aims to simplify cross-chain operations, reducing friction and enhancing security. Why it matters: As #DeFi grows, interoperability between blockchains becomes crucial. ERC-7683 addresses current challenges like bridging risks, slippage, and high #transaction fees. Future possibilities: Imagine a decentralized multi-chain #portfoliomanagement system optimizing investments across multiple blockchains automatically. For instance, allocating assets across yield farming protocols on Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and Avalanche based on real-time #yield data. ERC-7683 could enable automated portfolio rebalancing, seamlessly shifting assets between chains as network conditions change. The dream? Abstracting this complexity from the UI for true scalability. Why so extreme? Why not advocate and strengthen crypto (=monetary efficiency & autonomy), live a healthy life for as long as possible (=longevity), and live democracy by building and strengthening federal structures (=decentralization & self-sovereignty)?
