Organized by our employee resource group family@DOUGLAS, the day was filled with face painting, scavenger hunts, and even decorating shop windows with our Visual Merchandising team. Little tigers and unicorns explored the workplace, got creative at the craft station, and made memories in the photo booth—all while discovering what their parents do every day. This initiative is a testament to our ongoing commitment to sustainability and highlights the power of collaboration to tackle global challenges. Our #TeamDOUGLAS participants have just wrapped up the SDG Innovation Accelerator’s eight-month program with the fourth and last innovation camp. This unique format brought dedicated professionals from various companies together, sparking collaboration and developing sustainable solutions. Big shoutout to our amazing SDG Innovators: Niomie Antony Cruz, Matiena Marie Scheppe, Luca Sofia Kalenborn, and Daniel Moorttola Schröder! With the essential tools and insights provided by the UN Global Compact Netzwerk Deutschland in hand, they are diving into design thinking processes to tackle problems and craft innovative solutions. In the next few weeks, they’ll finalize their solutions and present them at the final pitch event in front of a jury in September in New York City at the UN Global Compact Leaders’ Summit. In her new role, Carina, along with her team of around 40 people, not only handles daily accounting tasks and the upcoming annual financial statements but also works on projects like e-invoicing and internal digitalization initiatives. As a leader, Carina values not only quickly integrating into her thematic responsibilities but also getting to know and empowering her team. For her, open and close communication is the key. Carina particularly appreciated this kind of communication during her application process with DOUGLAS. Located right on the banks of the Rhine, it's a great place for young and old to come together for magical movie nights under the stars. It’s also the perfect spot in Düsseldorf to scout for our future talents! Throughout August, our new Employer Branding ad was and will be aired before each movie. This is our chance to show what makes working at the DOUGLAs Group so special on the big screen: Our strong, determined #TeamDOUGLAS with around 18.000 people of over 100 nationalities. Our new Leuven store offers an extensive range of premium beauty products, and exclusive in-store beauty services, all designed to make your shopping experience truly exceptional. Store Manager, Beau Pannemans said: “The opening in Leuven was a great success, there was excitement from our customers from the very beginning. Already early in the morning, a long line formed outside the store, with customers eager to be the first to enter the new store. The festive moment began with the ribbon cutting. Customers enjoyed free makeup touch-ups from our beauty advisors and had the opportunity to have their purchased products engraved, adding a personal and unique touch to their new beauty items. The opening of DOUGLAS in Leuven was a day full of highlights, and the store immediately established itself as a new favorite destination for beauty lovers in Leuven. Until October 2024 we plan to open three more stores in Belgium. This is an important milestone in the development of our store network and the implementation of our 'Let it Bloom' growth strategy.     𝗗𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗟𝗔𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗭𝗜𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹🔥 Over 450,000 people recently came together to celebrate music at Budapest's Óbuda Island for one of Europe's largest festivals – the Sziget Festival. And of course, we couldn't resist joining in the fun and creating an unforgettable festival experience with our unique DOUGLAS COLLECTION area featuring our latest brand campaign #IYKYK – IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW. We invited 50 content creators to an exclusive festival weekend with DOUGLAS COLLECTION. We kicked it off with an elegant dinner where our guests could meet and discover our exceptional products in a special setting. On the following festival days, our guests enjoyed exclusive styling in our VIP Zone, with GHD providing exceptional hairstyling and our DOUGLAS COLLECTION products delivering stunning make-up looks. To elevate the ultimate festival vibe for all visitors, we brought along a shimmery glitter shower in the shape of a mascara tube, temporary tattoos, giveaways, and much more. Our DOUGLAS Beauty Bus, which is currently touring across Eastern Europe, also made an appearance. On its lower level, festival visitors could get a free make-up touch-up with products from the DOUGLAS COLLECTION. Afterwards, everyone was invited to the upper terrace to relax in our chill-out area. A round of applause for all the teams involved in this amazing project. We had a blast! 👏🏻

The opening was celebrated with numerous activities, such as raffles, product testing, and expert consultations by our beauty advisors. The highlight of the opening day was the appearance of Diane Kruger, known from our "Beauty Is…" campaign. 𝗔 𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗽𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 “𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆”🌟 🎥 On two floors and 795 square meters, our store in Vienna offers an extensive range of premium brands and exclusive beauty services. Here, customers can discover a curated range consisting of innovative, best-selling and classic products. With modern design and a wide range of products, we aim to provide the best beauty experiences for our customers.     𝗤𝟯 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗟𝗔𝗦 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 Today we have announced the results of another successful quarter, with strong growth and profitability across both channels. Alongside strong financials from April to June 2024 we have made further headway in implementing our “Let it Bloom” strategy: Our store network continues to grow across Europa – including highlights such as the recent grand reopening of our House of Beauty in Vienna – and we are sharpening our profile as the go-to premium beauty retailer for our customers. Just one example of this is a redesign of our online shop and app, starting as early as September. 💄 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 (𝗻𝗲𝘁) 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 We grew Group sales (net) 7.3% to around 977 million euros, driven by the strong performance of our omnichannel model: Stores contributed +7.2% growth and E‑Commerce +7.5%. Adjusted EBITDA also improved 5.6% to around 163 million euros, with an adj. EBITDA margin of 16.7%. 📈 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 On the back of sustained positive business development and strong sales (net) numbers for the third quarter and first nine months, we have raised our guidance for the financial year 2023/24 on 17 July 2024: We now expect net sales to grow around 8.5% (previously: around 7%) and are well on track to deliver our mid-term earnings forecast of an expected adj. EBITDA margin of around 18.5%. Our Group CEO Sander van der Laan said: “Our sustained strong performance and continued growth – even above our expectations – demonstrate the resilience of our business model. Fully focusing on premium beauty is the right course for us, and this strategy strongly resonates with our customers.
